Blue Oak Working Dogs - Available Dogs

Here at Blue Oak Working Dogs it is our goal to raise, train, and produce versatile and stable dogs who can fill a variety of real world working and sport goals. It is our aim to offer dogs suited for personal protection, sport, police, or other real world jobs. Each dog brings different strengths and weaknesses to the table and we want to help you find the right dog to fit your needs. This page displays dogs who are currently available along with information about their temperament and training. However, we encourage you to reach out if you are seriously interested, some dogs may not yet be listed on our site yet and even if we do not have a match for you currently we can start working with a dog or searching for one that fits your needs. We want people to be able to experience the deep connection that comes with owning a working dog. 

All dogs purchased through us come with free training and boarding for life, including attendance to our weekly training club. Prices will vary depending on the individual dog and their level of training.

 "Caiman"
 Dread vom Dakonic 

Caiman is a young dog who is very loyal to his family and handler but very intense in his drive. Caiman is a fast learner, who loves to train, and has a big tank for it. He has high food and toy drive, making him very easy to motivate. Once bonded with someone he also works to please his handler, he tries hard to not mess up and do right by them. Caiman also shows natural herding ability with our sheep, having successfully worked them during grazing season. He was raised in the house with our children and other dogs, doing well with both.

"Rafiki"

Born Feb 22 2025 Rafiki is a promising young male. He shows great stability and drive for the work. Rafiki has shown himself to be good-natured with dogs and humans of all sizes. Rafiki has been staying with Katie Rose of Rowdy Rose K9 Services who put a fantastic obedience foundation on him. Rafiki is ready to go out in public and handle an array of situations, proving himself reliable off leash, at big family gatherings, and busy public areas. Rafiki is a very biddable dog who wants to please his handler, he tries hard to do right and does not require as firm of a hand as some dogs. He has great food and toy drive, and has been started in protection. Although he is very new to protection he has opened up greatly in a very short period of time, showing great potential for someone looking to pursue bite sports or personal protection work. 

Rafiki also has been xrayed and has prelimmed passing hips and elbows.
