Blue Oak offers a variety of services from private sessions, classes, board & train, boarding, and more advanced options! Please note that Bay/Sacramento pricing is due to travel expenses. If you are able to come to us we will honor our local pricing.

Evaluations - $50 Local / $80 Bay/Sacramento

Not sure where to start? Do you want to get to know more about us and our methods before committing to signing up? Ask us about scheduling an evaluation. We will meet you and your dog in person in order to get to know the two of you and give you our explanation of how we would approach your dog’s individual needs. We will help explain different aspects of our training options in depth in order to help you move forward with confidence!
Private Sessions - $100 Local / $160 Bay
Private sessions are completely 1 on 1 and you are our focus. Private sessions can be very flexible; they can be used to address problem behaviors or to help you in your pursuit of higher level obedience, work, or sports. This includes pricing includes private bitework and herding sessions.

Board and Train - $3,000 for 30 Days ($100 a day) Local / $3,750 ($125 a Day) Bay/Sacramento
Board and trains are another fantastic option! This can be incredibly effective when dealing with aggression, fear, reactivity, and some more prevalent problem behaviors. Sometimes these behaviors are simply overwhelming for owners and they are not equip to handle the behavior. Board and train allow us to remove your dog from the environment that may be feeding into their behavior and we show them a new way of looking at the world. We gain their trust and teach them important foundation behaviors (Sit/down, recall, leave it, stay, heel, place, and more) while directly addressing the problem behavior. We will put in the reps and do the leg work to get your dog to a better place so that they can return to you with a fresh outlook on life. This program also includes two private sessions; one when your dog returns to you and one later on to help ensure your continued progress forward. We send two updates a week and the dogs also get daily exercise/interaction on our 12 acre farm.

Boarding - $70 a Day Local / $100 a Day Bay/Sacramento

Blue Oak also offers structured boarding that allows you to travel worry free; knowing your dog is safe, getting daily exercise/interaction, and handled in a way that will reinforce any training you've done. We even allow controlled exposure to our trusted personal dogs during their stay, working on neutrality and good manners. We take even take in severe aggression/reactivity/fear cases whether it's directed at people or dogs. We even accept dogs with a prior bite history.
We are uniquely able to offer boarding services to dogs with behavioral issues that would rule them out from typical boarding options. During their time with us they receive daily hikes on our property, daily interaction, and structure. We still reinforce good manners and maintain daily routines with the dogs. Our goal is to offer a safe boarding experience that can also help improve or maintain your dogs overall well being and mentality. We do offer multiple dog discounts. And we send updates twice a week. |
Group Classes - $200 for 6 Sessions Local Only
Classes can be another fantastic option as they offer a controlled, guided environment where you do not have to worry about the threat of off leash dogs or rude owners. We offer a variety of different classes to help you at different stages. Currently we are offering Basic Manners, Puppy Foundations, Canine Good Citizen, and Advanced Obedience classes. Classes total 6 sessions all together. Puppy Foundations is $175

Seminars/Workshops/Demonstrations - Police, Protection, Training, Behavior, Genetics, and more.Looking to bring more education to your program? We offer a wide variety of topics and can personalize them to your needs. Whether you’re a shelter program looking to educate volunteers on handling and body language or a police department looking to advance the skills of your handlers/decoys; we can help! We are also happy to perform demos for schools, senior living, and other programs. We have many dogs who are safe to perform even with small children present. Reach out to us with your needs and we can help take it from there!
Bitework Club - $80 Drop In - $300 a Month MembershipBlue Oak Working Dogs is a PSA affiliated club and Working Dogs of America training group; we can help you with those sports and more! We meet at our ranch or Anderson River Park to train together twice a week for obedience and protection. We meet in Oroville and other areas on occasion as well. We currently meet on Saturdays and Wednesdays(Members only). Whether you're looking to compete in more advanced sports, train in personal protection, or just have fun with your dog we can help!
